New RACES Officer

By now, all members of Hendricks County RACES, should have received an email from EMA Director David Warren indicating that Bob Burns W9RXR is now the Hendricks County RACES Officer.

Dave Leimenstoll N9XOQ and Ron Burke KB9DJA remain on the Hendricks RACES staff as Bob's assistants.

The mission and purpose of Hendricks County RACES has not changed. We still serve Hendricks EMA, the local governments in the county, the Indianapolis NWS office, and, most importantly, the people of Hendricks County.

To contact W9RXR, you can send an email to w9rxr@rlburns.net or call 317-410-7721.

NLE 2011 Recommendations

NLE 2011 will commence sometime on 5/16/2011. N9FEB, Mike Palmer, recommends that everyone have at least an HT available to monitor the local RACES repeater, in our case, the 147.165 repeater, no tone. Please be prepared to check in. There may be message handling requests or simulations. Please step up to the plate and participate. Treat this as if it was an actual earthquake event in our community. Remember that we are here to serve the citizens of Hendricks County. Stay prepared and stay safe.

Saving or printing from these pages

As we have had a recent issue with incompatability on attachments, it is a simple matter to print or save these pages simply by going to "File" on your toolbar and then selecting either "Save as" or "Print". Both should work equally well.
